Delivery modes for learning


On campus

Times: 8.30am – 8.00pm, Monday to Friday

Location: University campuses

Typical parameters:

  • A unit delivered via the LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS) (Moodle) and FACE-TO-FACE delivery at our campuses.
  • There is both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities offered to the students.
  • Each credit point equates to 10 hours of learning. For example, 15 credit points equal 150 hours.

Blended/flexible

Times: 8.30am – 8.00pm, Monday to Sunday

Location: A combination of online learning and attendance at University campuses/ learning hubs attendance.

Typical parameters:

  • A unit delivered via PREDOMINATELY ONLINE and some face-to-face delivery at our campuses.
  • There is both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities offered to the students
  • Each credit point equates to 10 hours of learning. For example, 15 credit points equal 150 hours.
  • Where most of the unit is delivered primarily online however has FACE-TO-FACE placement expectations, it should be listed as Blended/Flexible mode.

Online

Times: Monday to Sunday (times remain flexible)

Location: All learning activities will be conducted online.

Typical parameters:

  • All units delivered WHOLLY ONLINE
  • There is both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities offered to the students.
  • There is no expectation that students will be attending FACE-TO-FACE events.
  • Each credit point equates to 10 hours of learning. For example, 15 credit points equal 150 hours.

Technology used across all modes

  • Moodle (Learning Management System)
  • Microsoft TEAMS as part of learning and engagement process
  • Connected Classrooms (Has campus and online connected classrooms)
  • FedUni endorsed platforms (add link to updated Use of Learning and Teaching Technology Procedure) (under construction)
