Timetabling is responsible for allocating available resources for classes and casual bookings at the Federation University campuses.

2025

Timetables

Timetabling Higher Education 2025 Data Collection has now commenced. The timetabling team will be liaising with key stakeholders in the Institutes/School to confirm 2025 Course offerings and obtain all relevant Unit delivery information at an individual campus level.
Campus: All campuses
Scope: All 2025 offerings (Terms: Late Summer (2502), Non Standard Semester 1 Nursing (2508), Semester 1, (2505), Winter (2515), Non Standard Semester 2 Nursing (2516), Semester 2 (2520), Spring (2525) and Summer (2527)
Next Step: After the Timetable has been scheduled, the Provisional Timetable Consultation will open Monday 4th November, 2024 providing an opportunity for all staff and key stakeholders to review the timetable in a provisional format

Timetable Data Collector - Staff Availability

2025 Timetable Data Collector is now closed for Higher Education teaching staff (all year).
Where no submission was lodged between 5 August – 23 August 2024, full teaching availability will be assumed when scheduling classes.

If you need to change your submitted 2025 unavailability, please complete a Staff availability form (doc,160kb) and forward to the Timetabling team.

2024

Timetables

Timetabling: HE Semester 2, 2024 FINAL timetable now PUBLISHED. Student Preference entry commenced.
Campus: All campuses
Scope: Semester 2, Spring and Summer 2024.
Version: All changes now subject to Post Publication Change Request Form (PPCRF) approval process.
Focus: All outstanding staff allocations to honour established timetable
Stakeholders: Academic Leaders / Students
Goal: Uphold consistent student experience of a reliable Timetable.
Next Step: Student Preference entry closes 9am, Mon 3 June. Preferences are then sorted for individual student timetable release 9am, Mon 17 June.

Timetable Post Publication Change Request

All 2024 Unit changes now need to be requested via a Timetable post publication form (pdf, 2mb) by your Curriculum Support Team.

Connected Classroom

Teaching staff wishing to use Connected Classrooms for their units are recommended to visit the Connected Classroom introduction resources.

If you are using a Connected Classroom as a general teaching space (no remote connections to students or other campuses) please review these operating instructions.  It is essential that you have a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) to use with the Connected Classroom.
