Trees
Mature trees give wonderful structure to a garden and help soften the look of your home and the streetscape. They provide shelter, nesting sites and food for native birds, shade for a patch of your garden, a mild microclimate for shade-loving shrubs and ground covers, and are remarkably efficient at cooling the air around your home during hot summer days and nights.
It can be very expensive to prune or remove trees that are too large for their space, so choose one of these smaller indigenous trees instead.
