Conference proceedings

In response to concerns about biodiversity conservation, the Centre for Environmental Management (CEM) in the School of Science and Technology, Federation University Australia inaugurated a biodiversity conference in 2004. It brought together a wide variety of interested parties, who responded with enthusiasm. Participant feedback suggested that further conferences of this type should be held, ideally as cooperative ventures with other universities. Over time the event has grown into a series of biodiversity conferences. It has increased in size and flourished, with the cooperation of five further regional universities from Victoria and New South Wales, major environmental agencies and other organisations.
