Federation University is pleased to offer two PhD Scholarships in the area of Utilising Simulation to develop culturally responsive social workers.
Scholarship details
Stipend: $28,000 per annum
Top-up: $15,000 per annum (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates only)
Project support: $9000 over 3 years
RTP Fee-offset Scholarship: $21,600 per annum
Funding length: 3 years (only, no extensions permitted)
Location: on Country
Eligibility
Scholarship applicants must be eligible to undertake a PhD. Verify you can meet eligibility requirements outlined on the Graduate Research School website. If you are applying for ‘Honours equivalence,’ please ensure that you provide detailed information to support your case.
Applicants must be an Australian or permanent resident. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

Project title: What constitutes an effective co-design process in the development of Aboriginal informed 3D/2D curriculum resources in social work practicums?
Research project outline:
The project aims to increase culturally responsive practitioners by co-designing a culturally informed simulation centred curriculum program for social work students and field educators focusing on rural and remote experiential learning, a first in Australia.
This PhD stipend will determine an effective co-deign process in the development of Aboriginal informed 3D/2D curriculum resources for social work practicums.
