Unit Readings

Request readings to be made available through Moodle to your students

Setting readings and resources for your students as part of the curriuculum is an easy process when the Library assists.

We will locate, source/acquire, digitise if needed, and link the readings and resources you request directly into your Moodle unit.

You can then arrange the resources, group into topics or weeks, and place resource links throughout a Moodle unit for students to access in the context of the unit progression.

Additional benefits:

  • assists with managing your copyright responsibilities
  • the stability of links for student access are maintained
  • consistent look-and-feel reading lists for student engagement
  • accessible statistics to measure your student engagement
  • easily transfer and updated reading lists each year

What can you submit?

Submit your curriculum-relevant reading list of journal articles, books and papers, URLs, files and videos, and any directions e.g. specific chapters, editions or page numbers.

How many readings?

Lengthy lists can be overwhelming for students without guidance to importance.

Label each reading as 'Required' or 'Recommended.' You can also add 'Additional readings if interested' in the 'Notes to students' field.

How long will it take?

Please submit early. It can take up to 6 weeks for a new scanned resource to be made available, i.e. if the source item is from overseas, or the book is in use with another patron.
