Special Circumstances Payment Plan
If you are having difficulty making payment of your tuition fees by the invoice due date you may be eligible to apply for a special circumstances payment plan.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a special circumstances payment plan you must:
- be a continuing international student;
- have been financially impacted by circumstances beyond your control. Special circumstances can included major political upheaval or natural disaster in a student’s home country that have impacted your family;
- have no outstanding debts from previous semesters;
- have not defaulted on previous payment plans.
The following students are not eligible to apply for a special circumstances payment plan:
- Commencing international students
- Domestic Higher Education and TAFE students
Instalments for Semester 2, 2024
Instalment Date | Instalment Amount |

20 August 2024 | 50% of tuition fees |
20 October 2024 | 50% of tuition fees |
Important information
You must be able to demonstrate that the special circumstances have had a significant impact on your financial situation and your ability to make payment of your tuition fees and provide supporting evidence.
Payment plan applications which are submitted without supporting evidence will be denied. A personal statement is not considered sufficient evidence of special circumstances.
If successful, the amount due for each instalment will appear on your my Student Centre invoice after your payment plan application is received and processed. Please allow a minimum of 10 business days for processing.
If you do not successfully apply for a payment plan your fees will be due on the semester census date 15 August 2024.
