Federation Co-op

Collaboration. Everyone’s doing it. But for us, now, collaboration is not just about working together. It’s more than that. The Federation University Australia Co-operative Model – Federation Co-op – is about mutual benefit. Working together to the same end.

What do we want?

Job-ready graduates. Students who don’t just finish their courses with theoretical knowledge but actually understand what it’s like to work in industry and feel confident to make that leap from study to employment.

What do you want?

Job-ready graduates. Employees who can hit the ground running. Employees who arrive on their first day, prepared (eager, even) to start. Who already have a bit of experience and know their industry.

So Federation Co-op is win-win.

Or – more accurately – win-win-win. Because the students win too. And they are, after all, the focus of this model. Many of our learners are first in family or have social equity or carer’s needs. Co-op gives all students – no matter who they are – a foot in the door.

The Federation University Australia Co-operative Model puts students at the heart of education and industry.

And the bigger picture?

We know that there are specific skills shortages in Victoria. Especially in regional areas. And we know that industry overwhelmingly supports the Co-op model as a way to address this issue.

You can play a vital role.

It all comes down to this − we’re inviting you to be a part of our students’ education so they start their careers with practical professional experience, ready to make an impact at your organisation from day one.
