Short biography
Leigh started working for the University of Ballarat in 2007 (now known as Federation University Australia) as sessional tutor, and advanced to lecturer in 2014. He is a multimedia and games lecturer within the School of Engineering, Information Technology and Physical Sciences at Federation University Australia. He completed his PhD in 2015 researching the “Causes, magnitude and implications of griefing in massively multiplayer online role-playing games”. He is very interested in the game designs and behaviours of individuals that contribute towards toxicity in video games.
He is a member of Centre for Informatics and Applied Optimization (CIAO) and of the Technologies for Empowering People for Participation in Society (TEPPS) Programme. TEPPS plans, creates and evaluates assertive technologies for people in need.
