Biography
Jordyn Presley is a Scholarly Teaching Fellow working in the Pathways Program. Her interest in disability advocacy and inclusive education translates to teaching in this foundational program as she is passionate about equipping all students with the skills, particularly in academic writing, to pursue higher education. She is currently working to attain her Doctor of Philosophy in creative writing. Jordyn lives with cerebral palsy and has a keen interest in exploring and representing the complexities of disability lived experiences in life writing. Such passions and thoughtfulness are well-suited to the nurturing environment of the Pathways Program where she can help students develop their skills in researching, referencing, critical thinking and analysis, and writing, which will enable them to confidently pursue further education.
Areas of expertise
Jordyn Presley is a PhD candidate studying the ethics of relational life writing and relational disability life writing. Her knowledge of writing has enabled her to pursue a career teaching the foundations of writing to tertiary students. Her areas of expertise include non-fiction and fiction writing, life writing and academic writing.
